Talks by Capt. Joan: Check our schedule for talks in 2012. She has a popular talk about weather on the web which she has given at West Marine and at the Custer Institute in Southold. In her "other life" she is a top ranked portfolio manager and rather than cruising or weather, Custer asked her to speak about the Investment Outlook for the months ahead. Have you recently bought a new boat? We can help you move it to its new home. This aspect of our business has really taken off. Some folks buy sailboats first and learn to sail them later. All of our ASA instructors are USCG licensed Captains, too. We love welcoming new sailors to our wonderful sport.

Whitebread Race around Shelter Island Conflicts with Yom Kippur
A long, fun day of big boat racing. We will race from 9 -3 or so. The race starts in
New Suffolk, circles Shelter Island and ends at New Suffolk. Add two hours to get to and from the race. Bring your lunch.
We'll bring hot North Fork Apple Cider.
Weather permitting, we will continue teaching into October and offering daytime 2 hour cruises or private charters in the fall, the sun sets before 6:30 and lower temperatures make it cooler on the water so more comfortable to sail in the afternoon. Call us to discuss what you would like to do.
